Spookapalooza x Killmonster Underground Market Grand Opening
Date: 17th October 2026

Location: Killmonster Undeground Market, 51 Church Street, Manchester, M4 1PD
Accessibility: There are 10 steps leading down into the Market and no lifts
Loading: There is a loading bay on Tib Street (right outside), you need to keep loading and unloading and move your vehicle when finished (if a parking attendant is present, they will observe for five minutes before issuing a ticket) - if this happens, we will provide information to get the charge removed (it's just a pain). If you have a blue badge, there are double yellow lines just behind the loading bay, which will give you three hours.
There will be people on-site that are able to assist with your loading and unloading if you wish. We open for loading on 17th October at 08:00, we are also able to accommodate loading the night before on request.

Marketing:
The entrance will be well-signed, there are leaflets and posters in Afflecks also, bollard covers, street signs, all for the Spookapalooza and also for the Markets.
Layout:
The traders area of the markets is unique, in that it isn’t open plan, it is lots of separate themed rooms, all with an alternative / horror theming. The layout encourages customers to explore and shop in an immersive enivorment.
The plan would be to provide tables in each of these rooms, so you would have to be comfortable with trading in rooms that are ‘atmospheric’.
Other Info:
For our first event, we are not restricting what anybody sells - we’ll fine tune the event over time.
After the Spookapalooza, we will keep our stores open and begin work on allocating space to permanent traders. Traders from Spookapalooza will be given priority if they wish.
We will also be offering pop-up spaces all year around for weekend-only, week bookings, etc.
More details on permanent trading and pop-ups will be coming soon.
Also, if you wish to leave your stock in and trade for an extra day on the Sunday - you can do so at no extra charge (though we won’t have the cosplayers etc on for the second day and it isn’t marketed as an event).
We are in six days a week fitting it out, so if you want a tour, just shout and we can show you around - there’s a lot going on in there! You could even pick a favourite spot for your table!
New Artist Support Scheme:
At every event, we select one new Artist application that hasn't attended events before and we offer a free table, we offer to help with the display and set-up and with funded travel and accommodation to the event. We will also provide any advice on events, business, etc that we are able to. The Artist is not publicised as being part of this project. If you wish to apply for this scheme, please e-mail us and make a note of it. We can only choose one, if it isn't you, please don't be disheartened.
What we need from you:
Public Liability Insurance
Payment
Attendance
NO AI / NO Bootleg or Counterfeit Merchandise
Our events are designed with customer experience in mind. This means you may be working in dimly lit, horror-themed environments. We believe that experience creates the best results for customer and for trader, but it isn't for everybody. If you don't feel comfortable in the space you've been allocated, please raise it and we will make reasonable adjustments if and where we're able to.
